Maurizio Galbiati

Maurizio Galbiati graduated in law magna cum laude at the Università degli Studi of Milan in 1982 and he was for several years research and teaching assistant to Professor Pietro Trimarchi in the Civil Law Department at the Università degli Studi of Milan.

His professional activity began at the law firm of Prof. Avv. Maurizio Bocchiola, with a special focus on commercial law, corporate law and contracts. He founded Studio Legale GSLA together with Avv. Aldo Sacchi in 1996.

He has gained significant expertise in the practice areas of M&A, corporate restructuring and insolvency procedures, including those relating to listed companies.

His professional path includes litigation and arbitratio on corporate matters and on statutory auditors and corporate bodies’ liability.

Maurizio has a strong experience also is in assisting supervised entities in the context of sanction proceedings brought by Supervisory Authorities (Bankit, Consob, Ivass and AGCM), both in the administrative phase and in the subsequent judicial phase.

He is author of articles and reports on corporate and civil law, and he gives talks and lectures at seminars and in law masters programs concerning his areas of practice.

He is admitted to practise before the Supreme Court since 2008.
