Marco Lamandini

Marco Lamandini (Bologna, July 3, 1966) is Full Professor of commercial law at the University of Bologna and has been practicing as a qualified lawyer since 1992, providing legal assistance both in advisory and litigation, particularly in the areas of corporate, banking, finance and insurance, antitrust and industrial law. He has a consolidated experience as a national and international arbitrator. He is one of the external lawyers assisting the European Central Bank before the European Courts. In 2012 he was appointed by the European Commission to the roster of arbitrators for the examination of financial disputes under the Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Korea.

Marco Lamandini was, most recently and for two terms, a member and then chair (the second) of the Board of Appeal of the European System of Financial Supervision (ESFS) appointed by ESMA (www.esma.europa.eu) and is currently (second term) a member of the Board of Appeal of the Single Resolution Board (SRB) (www.srb.europa.eu).

He is also a member of the ICLEG, Informal Company Law Expert Group, which assists the European Commission in the field of European company law. For almost twenty years he has served as a stable advisor to the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee of the European Parliament on financial market law and still renders opinions and studies to the same Committee. Recently and for two terms, he took part in the Bologna College of the Financial Banking Arbitrator and the National Coordinating College of the same Financial Banking Arbitrator.

In the period 2012-2016, he served as a member of the Telecom Italia Open Access Supervisory Board appointed by the Communications Guarantee Authority (AGCOM).

Qualified to practice before the Supreme Court.
