Galbiati, Sacchi e Associati law firm – GSA announces the arrival of Professor Marco Lamandini as senior partner alongside Maurizio Galbiati, Aldo Sacchi, and Marco Santi. With the arrival of Professor Lamandini, the firm’s name will change to Galbiati, Sacchi, Lamandini e Associati – GSLA, marking a significant and important phase of development. The firm’s strong commitment to quality, independence, and a collaborative approach to its work remains unchanged, and indeed, is further enriched and reinforced.
Professor Lamandini is a professor of commercial law at Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna and has extensive experience both in transactional law and as a litigator and arbitrator, specializing in banking and finance, corporate law, antitrust, and intellectual property law, on both a national and international level. He served as the second president of the Appeals Committee of the European Financial Authorities system, based in Paris and Frankfurt, and has been a member of the Board of Appeal of the Single Resolution Board in Brussels for nearly 10 years. He has assisted and continues to assist the European Central Bank in significant disputes before the Court of Justice of the European Union and has been advising the European Commission and the European Parliament on corporate and financial matters for over 10 years. He was also an independent member of the Open Access Supervisory Body of Telecom, appointed by the Communications Authority (AGCOM), and has collaborated for many years as a scholar with the Bank of Italy and Consob.
Galbiati, Sacchi e Associati – GSA has 28 years of consolidated experience in corporate, banking, financial, and administrative law, with a particular focus on corporate governance, capital markets, banking and insurance regulation, relations with supervisory authorities and related sanctioning proceedings, as well as issues concerning audit firms, their regulation, and activities. The firm has long paid special attention to the new national and European regulations on ESG matters and corporate sustainability reporting obligations. GSA has always pursued growth through internal development, enabling the firm to fully enhance and cohesively work with a large group of high-standing professionals, for whom cohesion over time has become a distinctive feature.
“GSA – said the founding partners Maurizio Galbiati, Aldo Sacchi, and Marco Santi – takes an innovative and, in a way, ‘eccentric’ step today compared to the past. The firm welcomes a new name partner with whom the convergence has been as easy as it was spontaneous: through previous professional experiences, we were able to see our work together, as our passion, vision, and rigor in practicing law are identical.” In turn, Professor Lamandini emphasized, “I enthusiastically join one of the most respected firms in the professional landscape, with a solid position and reputation, aiming to offer my contribution to the internal team, particularly in areas such as capital markets and banking regulation, antitrust, and intellectual property in new technological markets, both domestically, in Europe, and internationally”.
In this context, there is a strong belief that, through the collaborative work of the firm, GSLA can effectively meet the needs of a qualified clientele, increasingly exposed to the complex challenges of a rapidly changing world.
This new chapter for the firm brings together a shared vision focused on excellence, independence of judgment, and innovation in the legal landscape.
With the new entry, the firm now consists of a team of 45 professionals, including 13 partners (Aldo Sacchi, Maurizio Galbiati, Marco Lamandini, Marco Santi, Maria Cristina Colombo, Nicoletta Mazzali, Matteo Marco Cremascoli, Carla Cannavacciuolo, Lorenzo Danese, Gerolamo Treccani, Patrizia Paolini, Mattia Casati, and Giampaolo Furlan), along with a new office in Bologna.
